One-way Ghatshila drop or a Burudih day tour: which should you book?
Choose a one-way drop if you are staying at a Ghatshila hotel, visiting family or continuing independently. Choose a retained day tour when you need the car for Burudih, agreed local stops and the return to Jamshedpur. A town-drop fare does not automatically include a lake excursion or several hours of sightseeing.
Ghatshila, Ghatsila and Burudi/Burudih are spelling variants you may encounter while searching. The important distinction is between the town address, lake destination and waterfall approach. Share the actual hotel or stop pin. Do not book a general Ghatshila drop and assume the driver will cover every nearby attraction without revising the itinerary.
For weekend families, a simple Jamshedpur → Burudih → meal/rest → Jamshedpur plan can be easier than collecting five attractions. Add a Ghatshila town visit only if you need it. For guests arriving by train, state the station pickup separately; this article’s intercity quote starts from your requested Jamshedpur pickup, not automatically from a Ghatshila station.
Aap pehle decide karein: destination par rukna hai, lake ke baad ghar lautna hai, ya hotel mein overnight stay karna hai? That choice determines the vehicle duty, waiting and return terms. If different passengers have different plans, include their final drops before accepting the quote.
| Trip requested | What to put in the itinerary | What needs its own confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| One-way Ghatshila drop | Exact hotel, home or agreed town entrance | Lake detour, local waiting and later return |
| Burudih day tour | Pickup → agreed lake stop → Jamshedpur return | Duty window, local movement, parking and waiting |
| Lake + optional Dharagiri | Conditional waterfall decision and latest return start | Current access, parking-to-falls walk and extra duty |
| Overnight visit | Hotel drop and actual return date/time | Driver overnight arrangement or separate return |
What do Jamshedpur to Ghatshila cab fares actually include?
Ask for a complete Manzeel quote matched to your date, vehicle, exact stops and return plan. A fixed Manzeel fare for this itinerary has not been confirmed for this guide. The dated public advertisements below show why one-way prices and day-tour rates should be compared separately. They are not live availability checks or promises of the cheapest cab.
OneWay.Cab’s directly read page showed a ₹1,499 sedan starting fare. Gozo displayed ₹1,774 for a sedan before GST. EaseMyTrip’s card showed ₹1,705 plus ₹82 taxes/charges with 48 km included. These one-way references cannot establish what a retained Burudih loop costs. Google snippets showed different values from some direct pages; the table uses the page values and labels the basis.
Clear Car Rental displayed a 22 October 2026 one-day sedan round trip at ₹3,859, built around a 250-km daily minimum and driver allowance, with toll, parking and border charges extra. RS Travel’s cached route page advertised ₹1,199 sedan with fuel, driver and toll inclusion. These references still need a quote matched to your actual travel date and stops.
Compare both quotes with identical stops and duty. Ask whether any taxes, tolls, parking, driver allowance, waiting, extra hours or additional kilometres remain payable. “Starting from” is not a confirmed final amount. Aapko lake par do ghante rukna hai toh woh quote mein likhwaein; outward drop ki low headline price se day-tour budget mat banayein.
| Operator · checked 22 Oct 2026 | Advertised reference | Comparison limit |
|---|---|---|
| OneWay.Cab | Hatchback ₹1,399 · sedan ₹1,499 · SUV ₹2,049 | One-way starting ads; exact trip/inclusions need confirmation |
| Gozo | Compact ₹1,754 · sedan ₹1,774 · small SUV ₹2,316 | Indicative one-way amounts before GST; date-specific quote required |
| EaseMyTrip | Sedan ₹1,705 + ₹82 taxes/charges | Displayed 48-km allowance; not a sightseeing loop |
| Clear Car Rental | Sedan ₹3,859 · Innova-category ₹6,300 | One-day minimum-duty round trip; toll/parking/border extras |
| RS Travel | Sedan ₹1,199 · SUV ₹1,599 | Cached published ad; stated fuel/driver/toll inclusion, state taxes extra |
How far are Ghatshila and Burudih from your Jamshedpur pickup?
Use named endpoints instead of treating every distance as the same journey. Google Maps checks on 22 October 2026 used Bistupur, Jamshedpur as the origin. The selected NH18 option showed 50.9 km and 1 hr 18 min to the Ghatsila marker; the direct Burudi Dam option showed 54.9 km and 1 hr 32 min. These are map observations, not timings measured by a Manzeel driver.
The separate Ghatshila town → Burudi Dam sample showed 9.5 km and 28 minutes via Burudi Road. The East Singhbhum district lake page also gives an approximate 9.5-km Ghatshila road reference and 55 km from Jamshedpur, but that page was last updated in October 2023. Neither source establishes the route from every hotel or lakeside parking point.
Do not subtract the two Jamshedpur samples to calculate the town-to-lake leg: their routes and endpoints differ. Similarly, doubling a direct town distance does not describe a tour with lake access, pickups and detours. Ask for the full stop order and kilometre basis. Highway approach and permitted parking should be checked for the departure date.
The reference map below locates Burudi Dam; the directions links let you edit the origin and stops. A map pin is not proof that a cab reaches a water edge or forest trail. For Mango, Sakchi, Adityapur or a Tatanagar pickup, use the actual address and current traffic rather than applying Bistupur’s minutes universally.
| Named route sample | Selected card on 22 Oct 2026 | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Bistupur → Ghatsila marker | 50.9 km · 1h 18m · NH18 | Your hotel entrance, lake detour or return duty |
| Bistupur → Burudi Dam directly | 54.9 km · 1h 32m · NH18 | A town + lake + waterfall circuit |
| Ghatshila town → Burudi Dam | 9.5 km · 28 min · Burudi Road | Current parking permission or pedestrian access |
Burudih location reference; this map does not confirm parking or a waterfall trail. Edit directions to your own pickup and stop order.
Can you visit Burudih Lake and return the same day?
A focused daytime Burudih outing can fit a same-day plan when the full drives, visit time and vehicle duty are agreed. Keep the lake as the main stop, allow a meal and comfort break, then retain a clear return window. If you have only a short afternoon, remove optional stops rather than trying to recover time by rushing the last stretch.
The district tourism page describes the lake setting and mentions boating. It is not a current boat-operation bulletin. Confirm boats, operating conditions, life jackets, charges and local permission on the day; do not assume a lake-side cab quote includes tickets or that boating runs in every weather condition. A pleasant lakeside visit should still work if an activity is unavailable.
For families, agree a legal pickup/parking point and how far everyone wants to walk. Check toilets and food availability before relying on them, especially if someone needs frequent breaks or specific meals. Carry drinking water and snacks, keep the area clean and avoid making an unverified restaurant reservation part of a supposedly guaranteed itinerary.
A September 2026 public discussion praised a quiet Burudih-side setting, but the location description was imprecise. Do not use a photograph or “opposite side” comment as navigation to an unfamiliar shore. Use a confirmed accessible stopping point and follow local restrictions.
Is Dharagiri accessible now, and should you add it?
Current opening, last-mile road condition, entry fees and walking access were not independently confirmed on 22 October 2026. Treat Dharagiri as optional, subject to a fresh local access check and the group’s ability. Its presence on tourism pages or a driving map does not establish that a particular car can reach the trailhead today.
The Jharkhand Forest Department’s Jamshedpur division page describes a wooded setting and trekking. Older visitor accounts repeatedly describe leaving the vehicle and walking through uneven terrain. Their distances, drive times and experiences differ; use them to ask about the walk, not as a current access instruction or a universal 15-minute promise.
Ask the booking team or appropriate local contact to confirm the allowed vehicle stopping point, present road condition, approximate out-and-back walking requirement, any permitted guide arrangement and when you must turn back. If permission, weather or the return window is uncertain, keep the Burudih plan and skip the waterfall. Do not bypass barriers or rely on an unofficial shortcut.
Keep the decision conditional in the quote: “Burudih main stop; Dharagiri only after access and walking confirmation.” Clarify the extra duty, any fee and what happens to the price if that optional stop is dropped. This is more useful than paying for a long attraction list without understanding which stops the group can actually complete.
Is the waterfall stop suitable for seniors or children?
Suitability depends on the person and present trail conditions; do not assume Dharagiri is step-free or accessible by car to the falls. Tripadvisor visitor accounts from 2015–2022 describe forest walking and uneven rocks, with differing views on effort. They are historical accounts, not an accessibility assessment for today.
A senior with knee pain, limited balance or difficulty on irregular surfaces may prefer a lake-focused day with short, confirmed walking distances. Ask about the actual parking-to-viewpoint path and rest options at Burudih too; “lake visit” does not automatically mean a level, shaded path or accessible toilet. Do not pressure somebody to attempt the trail because others found it easy.
For children, plan supervision and a clear meeting/return arrangement. Wear footwear suited to the actual ground, keep hands free where possible and stop if conditions exceed the group’s comfort. Do not turn the itinerary into a swimming plan or assume clear-looking water is safe to enter. A better view is not a reason to cross a barrier or wet, unstable approach.
An independent family account from December 2012 also separates the drive from the forest walk. Its old road and fee information cannot establish current conditions. The lasting planning point is to budget for getting back to the car, not just reaching the waterfall.
How do you budget the day and return before dark?
Set a target for leaving the remote stop before planning optional activities. The target should reflect local advice, daylight and current conditions for your date. “Leave by 16:00” in the worksheet below is an editable planning assumption, not an official closing time, a sunset calculation or a guarantee that 16:00 is appropriate throughout the year.
An illustrative lake day starting at 08:00 could allow 120 minutes outward, 90 at Burudih, 60 for a meal, 30 for local movement and 60 contingency before starting the homeward drive. That totals 360 minutes to a 14:00 departure from the final outing stop. Allowing another 120 minutes home gives 16:00. These are deliberately editable allowances, not live route estimates.
Adding a 120-minute waterfall block would move that example’s stop departure to 16:00 and home arrival to 18:00. The block must cover extra driving, both walks, the visit and any rest; it does not confirm the falls are open. A plan that exactly reaches your cutoff has no spare margin. Skip or shorten the optional stop if the morning runs late.
The worksheet separates time to leave the outing area from time to reach home. Enter a full pickup date and IST time, then your own allowances and same-day cutoff. If the result misses the cutoff, revise the itinerary before requesting the retained-car duty. Tell the operator the proposed return start and final Jamshedpur drop; the worksheet does not reserve driver hours.
Check the return window
Editable assumptions in IST; not live traffic, sunset, an opening check or a reserved duty. Set a sensible same-day leave-area cutoff using current local advice. The waterfall block covers all extra driving, both walks and rest.
Enter a valid pickup date/time and whole-minute allowances. Both drives must be positive. The cutoff must be later than pickup on the same day.
What changes when it rains or visibility is poor?
Recheck the weather and attraction access close to departure. Rain can affect forest walking, visibility, stopping places and the final road, while waterfall appearance can change with recent conditions. No current water-level observation was verified for this article. A seasonal photograph is not a forecast for your travel day.
Keep a fallback that removes the waterfall rather than promising every attraction regardless of conditions. If local access is restricted or the road approach is unsuitable, discuss a shorter permitted visit, a town stop or rescheduling. Confirm the financial terms of a weather-related change before accepting the booking; do not assume a universal free cancellation policy.
Aap driver ke saath pickup se pehle route aur return deadline dobara check karein. If a stop is delayed, reassess the remaining daylight before leaving the car for a walk. Share the meeting point and return time within the group. Do not depend entirely on a mobile connection in an unfamiliar forest setting or split the group without an agreed arrangement.
Which cab fits a weekend family and their luggage?
Choose the vehicle around the actual people, suitcase sizes and mobility requirements. A smaller party may find a sedan sufficient; a larger family may request an Ertiga/MUV or Innova-category vehicle. Using all passenger rows can reduce luggage space, so a “seven seater” label alone is not a bag-capacity confirmation.
Share adults and children, large cases, a stroller or mobility aid before the quote. Confirm the available model or equivalent category, seat layout and loading plan. If easy entry or specialist equipment is needed, ask what can actually be provided. Do not assume a roof carrier or child seat is included, or plan to place luggage in occupied seating space.
A retained car is useful for a defined outing, but it does not remove the need to carry essentials during the visit. Keep water, medicines and necessary personal items with the group; arrange the permitted meeting point with the driver. The historical pickup photograph below illustrates a Jamshedpur origin and is not a claim about Manzeel’s current fleet.
| Vehicle request | Useful for considering | Confirm for this booking |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan | Smaller party and bags fitting the boot | Actual passenger/bag count and available category |
| Ertiga / similar MUV | Family needing more seats | Occupied rows, luggage space and model equivalence |
| Innova-category vehicle | Group seating preference | Exact available vehicle, entry needs and full-duty quote |

How much waiting is included, and how do you book the itinerary?
Waiting is included only as stated in the accepted quotation. Ask for included duty hours and kilometres, how the duty is measured, waiting or extra-hour rates, excess kilometres, driver allowance, toll and parking. Specify both intercity drives and local movement; a generic booking result may not price the complete sightseeing itinerary.
Use the existing booking form for a one-way Ghatshila drop or a same-day outstation return, then confirm Burudih and any conditional Dharagiri stop with the team. The form’s destination does not automatically add a sightseeing loop. Changing the trip choice starts a fresh form, so review the actual travel date/time and locations before exploring cab results.
Call +917209012333 or prepare the topic-specific WhatsApp enquiry. Send pickup pin, full date/time, people, bags, chosen vehicle, stop order, waiting plan, walking needs and final return drop. Ask for a written total, extras, payment/cancellation terms and what constitutes booking confirmation. Opening a message or viewing cab results is not a confirmed allocation.
For a shorter outing, compare the places to visit in Jamshedpur guide and the distinct Dimna Lake cab guide. Use the Jamshedpur cab hub for your pickup/service context. Do not add Jadugoda or unrelated weekend stops without recalculating the whole route and time budget.
Sources and details to reconfirm before departure
Research reviewed 22 October 2026 using official attraction descriptions, named route checks and published operator information. Prices are dated advertisements, not a confirmed Manzeel rate or guaranteed availability. Departure-day access and the accepted booking terms take priority over general planning references.
Evidence combines named Google Maps samples, the district lake page, the Forest Department description, five operator pages, ten unique historical Tripadvisor reviews, two accessible Reddit discussions and the independent family account linked above. Traveller material informs walking, stop selection and seasonal expectations; it does not become a Manzeel testimonial, current access certificate or private customer-enquiry dataset.
Confirm service/vehicle availability, complete price and duty, the lake parking/meeting point, attraction operation, fees, food/toilet availability, optional waterfall access and departure-day conditions. No first-hand drive, inspected trail, restaurant audit or guaranteed attraction opening is claimed. Credited photos show their stated capture dates; they are not live condition reports.
